The WIKI Centennial Expedition is a multi-media venture with a special focus on youth to highlight greater public awareness of the threats, such as climate change, but also innovative solutions facing the Greater Mediterranean. With WIKI, a 102-year-old wooden sailing ketch built in Kiel, Germany, as our project icon, we will be focusing on how the Mediterranean has changed over the past century and what we can expect in the next. Our aim is to drawn attention amongst young and old, from Switzerland to Algeria, the UK to Greece, to what needs to be done if we are to save the “Great Sea”. Our project also has a special youth emphasis as it is now up to the generation to act if our planet is to enjoy a better future.
